Description
Would you like to take on responsibility in an international project environment and help ensure that naval ships remain reliably operational and are built cost-effectively? If so, a challenging position awaits you here, offering plenty of creative freedom, clear responsibilities, and close collaboration with clients, departments, and suppliers across Europe.In this role, you will manage the contractually agreed-upon services in the area of ILS and ensure that deliverables are provided on time, meet the required quality standards, stay within the agreed-upon budget, and are accepted by the Romanian client.
- You will comprehensively manage and consolidate the key deliverables-such as technical documentation, spare parts selection and cataloging, maintenance plans, and training concepts.
- You will be supported in this by your team, which is spread across Europe and which you will lead and coordinate from a technical standpoint.
- You will assess project status, identify necessary actions, and ensure that risks, deviations, and changes are identified early and actively managed.
- You will prepare status reports, management documents, and presentations tailored to the target audience and confidently present them in meetings.
- You will plan and moderate regular steering committee meetings, status updates, and editorial conferences.

- You will actively manage the interfaces with other technical disciplines in shipbuilding to ensure that dependencies are identified early on and that collaboration runs smoothly.

WHAT'S IN YOUR KITBAG
What's in your kitbag
- A bachelor's or master's degree in a technical or business field, such as naval architecture, mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, maritime technologies, or business administration-or a comparable qualification
- Professional experience in complex technical projects, ideally in large-scale military projects, in the maritime sector, and/or in an international setting
- Proven project management skills, particularly in managing schedules, costs, quality, interfaces, and project stakeholders
- Knowledge of technical documentation, spare parts planning, and ship maintenance
- Understanding of shipbuilding processes or comparable complex technical development and manufacturing processes
- Strong communication skills and a confident demeanor when interacting with customers and suppliers
- An open-minded approach to international matters and experience collaborating with diverse cultures-particularly in Eastern Europe-is a plus
- Willingness to be based primarily in Romania and to travel within Europe approximately 20-30% of the time
- Business-level proficiency in English; very good German language skills are a plus
